I never thought that I would have my own pond or lake, stream or even a well. But out here on the frontier, life is different to be sure. Last week the well drillers arrived and in two days sunk 640 feet of hole into our ground, two geothermal wells with no intention of letting us drink. The laws of the frontier are strict. We can heat and cool but we can't drink.
And then the house came down, two days. Two days and eight dumpsters it went bye-bye. Following that came two days of Irene. Thankfully, she just filled up the house hole and gave us a pond for nothing. Trudging out to Home Cheapo I put down some hard plastic and ponied up for a submersible pump to drain my new pond. Two days later, it was essentially dry. Things do come in two's.
And now we wait....one, maybe two days for the Excavation to create a deeper hole, a longer hole, a wider hole to take on the next step, Concrete.
